Vincent Van Gogh Paintings
I find Vincent Van Gogh paintings to be truly inspiring. His artwork is extraordinary. I write about a lot of artists because art touches the soul and inspires people to yearn to be better. Art expands your mind taking you to places and perspectives you would never dream of. Adculture.com is all about teaching you how to expand your Mind, Body, and Spirit so you can be the best you possible and live the best life possible. Vincent “Rock n Rolla” van Gogh is a master of creating paintings that draw you in and in my opinion a rock star of the art world. When I say rock star I mean the guy just did not give damn about much except well, his art.
In just ten years he created around 900 paintings. I’m sure everyone here can admire such a feat. Going through the creation process is a challenging one. To find your muse that many times, and to come across paintings like The Sower, where you can literally feel the life it breathes, it’s truly moving. I hope you all can appreciate the unique challenge I faced selecting a mere 50. He was very disciplined and painted his ass off even though he was sick all the time, he cut off his left ear and gave it to his lover who was a prostitute, and shot himself.
Vincent Van Gogh’s, life and his paintings really can be summed up with the saying “tragic artist”. Diagnosed with epilepsy, he really saw the world in a different light. Temporal lobe epilepsy is just one of a litany of conditions that have left his perspective slightly skewed, suffering from mental and physical conditions. Aside from this, we only peer into an instance of what he sees in his mind with paintings like Starry Night. Just sit with that one piece for a few minutes and I challenge you not for feel drawn to its haunting, yet calm twilight. Now imagine that you’re doing this in an asylum because he did in (1889) Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France. No matter what his affliction, his art spoke volumes about what he was passionate about.
Van Gogh’s Paintings and Inspiration
It’s not only Vincent van Gogh’s paintings that inspire me and many others before; what I like most about him was his passion. The man was literally so passionate about life, his art, his lover that he was insane. He lived life to the fullest which can only be admired. If you like Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dali then you will love the paintings of Vincent van Gogh.
